To the Editor:
We can all agree it is necessary to live in a world governed by rules.
Do not steal.
Do not harm.
And especially do not call it “Daylight Savings Time.”
Otherwise, we are no better than beasts.
So when I pointed out the term was “Daylight Saving Time,” my hope was to share a bit of enlightenment. To give structure to a world in disarray.
I do not ask for thanks.
I do not ask for praise.
And I certainly do not ask for a slug in the kisser.
Merely for a simple adherence to standards.
Clearly, that additional “fall back” hour of sleep wasn’t enough for the cur who popped me. Cranky philistine. Such is the price we must pay for order.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to return to alphabetizing my sock drawer.
